HONEY LOCUST FARM HOUSE
7 Morris Drive,
Newburgh, NY 12550,
Honey Locust Farm House is a unique small-scale farm that specializes in Chef-Centered Gourmet Agriculture. Sustainable practices in the garden produce an inspiring array of fresh organically grown produce for fine restaurants, local markets, and caring consumers. Nestled in the fertile Hudson Valley, Honey Locust Farm House draws upon a time-honored tradition of responsible farming to cater to established and emerging gourmet palettes. The synergy of being an artist, chef, and cultivator allows proprietor Nancy MacNamara to interface between gourmet chefs and the bounty of the earth. Ms. MacNamara also serves as a consultant for sustainable garden/farm design and edible landscapes. Currently, she is developing a line of teas, preserved fruits and pickled vegetables. Honey Locust Farm House has recently begun to work with students from the Culinary Institute of America. Philosophically aligned with the Slow Food movement, Honey Locust instructs in sustainable cultivation and production of herbs and vegetables for fine dining. Honey Locust also gathers the best produce from local small farmers in order to deliver the greatest possible variety to its distinguished clientele in Manhattan and the Hudson Valley Region. In addition, Honey Locust Farm House proudly hosts seasonal special events, including its renowned Wild Weed Walks.
